Itinerary

Day 1 - Adelaide to Kangaroo Island

You will travel south of Adelaide down the spectacular coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula to Cape Jervis before sailing across Backstairs Passage to Penneshaw. Seal Bay is home to a rare colony of Sea Lions - the only accessible colony in Australia. Clamber over the sand dunes of Little Sahara then stretch your necks finding koalas in the trees of Hanson Bay Sanctuary. Our nights accommodation is at Flinders Chase Farmstay. The verandah is a great place for dinner; view the sunset or encounter the Island's wildlife. (LD)

Day 2 – Kangaroo Island to Adelaide

This morning explore Flinders Chase National Park. Admiral's Arch is home to a colony of frolicking fur seals. Nearby, Remarkable Rocks are fabulous, especially for photographs in the contrasting morning light. Cape De Couedic lighthouse marks KI's southwest tip. We'll put on a picnic lunch nearby Flinders Chase Visitor Centre. Turning our attention to the North Coast, at Stokes Bay a rock tunnel leads to an idyllic beach and rock pool. Back at Penneshaw there's time before the 7.30 pm ferry for evening meals (not included). Returning via Sealink ferry & coach, arrival in Adelaide between 10.30 & 11.00 pm. (BL)
